BARABOO, WI – (May 24, 2005) – Adults and youth have until 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, to enter the 2005 Sauk County Fair Open Class Fair. That’s the deadline for filing entry forms, available in the 2005 premium book at all Sauk County libraries, chambers of commerce and the Sauk County University of Wisconsin-Extension office in the West Square Building in Baraboo. The rules and entry forms are also available online at www.saukcountyfair.com.
Who can enter? Any county resident. What can they enter? Just about anything! Who’s going to win the blue ribbon for the best pickles, greatest cake, nicest knitting or prettiest woodworking project? The judges will determine that during the Sauk County Fair, July 11-17, at the Fairgrounds on Baraboo’s eastside.
Whether
a long-time hobby or a newfound skill, everyone from youth (non FFA/4-H) to
community-based residential facilities and nursing homes can enter the Open
Class Fair. Complete the entry form found in the premium book and mail it with
$2 by June 1. Or, if people miss the mail carrier on June 1, they can bring
their entry forms and fees to the Fairgrounds office between 5 and 7 p.m.
The
actual projects must be delivered to the Fairgrounds Wednesday, July 13,
between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
